Program name and sender
The messaging program is operated by Caravan Supply Chain inc under the name Caravan Supply Chain Operational Messaging. Caravan is the sender of the messages and the party responsible for the program, including obtaining consent, maintaining consent records, honoring opt-out requests, and the content of what is sent.
Caravan uses Dialpad as its communications platform, and may use transportation technology and automation, developed and administered by 400x Systems Inc., to originate messages on Caravan’s behalf. Those providers do not replace Caravan Supply Chain as the sender or as the legal operator of this program.
Program purpose
Caravan Supply Chain uses SMS for transactional and operational communications related to freight transportation. Messages may be sent to consenting customers, carriers, dispatchers, drivers, and other authorized shipment contacts.
Load offers and available freight are sent only to motor carriers, carrier dispatchers, and drivers who have opted in and with whom Caravan Supply Chain has an existing or prospective transportation relationship. They are not sent to customer or shipper contacts, and they are not advertising: they identify specific freight available for a specific carrier to haul, in the ordinary course of arranging transportation.
This program is not used for unsolicited marketing, advertising, or promotional messaging, and is not used for lending or loan agreements, gambling, alcohol, controlled substances, or any age-restricted content.
Who receives messages
- Customers and shippers
- Motor carriers
- Carrier dispatchers
- Drivers
- Warehouses, consignees, and other authorized shipment contacts
- Caravan Supply Chain employees and staff working on a shipment
Messages are sent only to recipients who have consented to receive them. Employees are not exempt from this: a Caravan Supply Chain employee receives operational text messages only after opting in through one of the two methods below, and may reply STOP at any time.
Every message is addressed to a person. Caravan Supply Chain may use automated systems to prepare and send messages, and to process replies once they are received, but the recipient of a message is always an individual who has consented to receive it.
Types of messages

- Load confirmations
- Dispatch instructions
- Pickup and delivery updates
- Shipment status requests
- ETA notifications

How consent is obtained
Consent is collected in one of two ways.
Through this website
You may enter a mobile number on our SMS opt-in page or our contact form and check the SMS consent box. In both places the box is separate from the rest of the form and is unchecked by default. On the contact form it is never required in order to submit the form; the opt-in page exists solely to record consent, so checking the box is what the page is for. Neither is required in order to do business with Caravan.
Verbally, during a business call
Our Operations Agents, Carrier Sales Representatives, Dispatch Coordinators, and Customer Operations personnel may ask during a call whether you would like to receive SMS updates for load confirmations, dispatch instructions, pickup and delivery updates, shipment status, ETAs, scheduling changes, delays, documentation requests, and freight coordination. You are told that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, that you may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance, and that your information is not sold or shared for marketing.
In both cases, consent is confirmed by an opt-in SMS message, and Caravan Supply Chain maintains records of the consent it receives.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on shipment activity and operational needs. Messaging is event-driven: you may receive several messages during an active shipment and none at all when you have no freight moving with us. There is no fixed or recurring promotional schedule.
Carrier charges
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s rates and plan terms determine any charges you incur for sending or receiving messages. Caravan Supply Chain is not responsible for those charges. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive a single confirmation, after which you will receive no further messages from Caravan Supply Chain. Reply START to opt back in, or call (312) 767-3612 for assistance.
Opting out of SMS does not end other operational communication. Caravan may still contact you by phone or email where necessary to execute a shipment.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact our Operations team at (312) 767-3612 or support@caravansc.com.
Our SMS help page covers the keywords, how to stop messages, and what to do about messages you did not sign up for. It is the page the HELP reply links to.
Privacy
Mobile phone information and SMS consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the limited circumstances in which service providers process it on our behalf.
Consent is not a condition of doing business
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Caravan Supply Chain, and is not required to submit our contact form, request a quote, book a load, be assigned freight, or be paid.
Eligibility and supported carriers
The program is intended for recipients in the United States and Canada using a mobile number capable of receiving SMS. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and network conditions and is not guaranteed.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes to the program will be reflected here.
